Temp #'s needed

I need some #'s guys. I am specifically looking for ECT & EOT #'s empty. Pulling would help as well but more so when you are empty (please make sure to included how much weight for towing). Please also included if you are stock or which tune you are running.

Ford is telling me that EOT 220-230 empty is Ok as long as ECT is with in 30 degrees?? I say ok but once I tow then they (EOT) shoot through the roof.....

Everything else runs awesome just the dam EOT and they have replaced the water pump and say that the oil cooler is fine??? I will print this and bring it to them to show what others are running.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!!!

How did they test the engine oil cooler. Sounds like a oil cooler to me. Should never jump like they say more than 30 degrees tops.

your EOT is still that high empty?

mine runs anywhere from 200-208 under normal conditions.....pushing it hard empty will see up to 215

ECT is usually 5 or so degrees cooler?

only when towing can i see the 220s for EOT

Wow! Until a few weeks back, my truck never (almost never, rather) rose above 192-194. But now completely empty I will see 196-202.

On my most recent trip from OKC to Abilene, TX, I saw EOT's between 208-215 or so. And that was towing about 10-12k (i've never weighed my truck and trailer). That was also heading dead on into a constant 20mph wind with 40-50mph gusts. The outside temp was something like 70ish i believe.

Seems a little high to me. Here's the reading from my wife's truck, stock F350 SRW 4x2, engine coolant temp 196, engine oil temp 195.8, Speed 70, outside air temp around 75f.

Here's my post on another forum where I was pulling 21,000. Truck is as F350, Dually 4x4 with 4.10 rear-end, running the Spartan 210 tune.

I just pulled 21,000 with the 210 tune. Truck had plenty of power. Outside temp 65 degrees. Egt's running 60-65 were high, 1000-1100 and sometimes climbing small hills hit 1200. Soon as I slowed, would get it down between 1000-1100. Boost at same speed was 34-36, but and as high 45 while I was trying to get up to speed. Highest I saw EOT was 221, and ECT was 212.

Running both the 210 and 275, northern VA winter temps ranging from low 20s to 60s I see 192-194 on EOT, a few degrees cooler on ECT. Unloaded, normal driving and to and fro...3:73 rear end on a FX4 CC.

I am not sure how they tested the oil cooler but that is what I think it is as well??? I am going to get them to swap it out.

Yeah when I tow I get get well over 240 and have even seen some higher EOT that I don't want to remember. I would be fine with 220 when I was towing but it just seems too high. Even during those high temps I have seen truck ran fine actually ran awesome!!!

What do you guys think about getting the an oil sample tested? Will that tell me anything in regards to heat??
