i use service pro or napa gold, which ever is free... lol... my work pays for my oil and fuel filters and i do them. i like them both, the napa golds seem to be made real nice and come with a new cap instead of just a new o-ring.

I to use Amsoil but I have a 7.3 that being said AMSOIL Ea Oil Filters have the best efficiency rating in the industry. EaO Filters provide a filtering efficiency in accordance with industry standard ISO 4548-12 of 98.7 percent at 15 microns, while competitive filters containing conventional cellulose medias range from 40 to 80 percent efficiency.
I am saying this is the 6.4 at this time is using CJ4 oil.
Also at this time Amsoil does not have extended oil for the CJ4 oil.
My point this besides using synthetics better filtration is the only thing you can do to protect your engine.
The next step would be a by-pass filter.
AMSOIL EaBP Filters have an efficiency of 98.7 percent at two microns. At normal operating RPMs the EaBP Filter will filter all of the oil in a typical five quart sump in less than 10 minutes.
