Haven't heard the AFE, my S & B sounds great, easy install, and a good price.

The AFE with no lid is the loudest intake that i have heard, much louder than the S&B. Both are nice intakes

I have the AFE and its pretty nice. You can here the turbos a lot better. It dosnt really matter which one you get, they all sound about the same and dont give you much more performance. AFE is about to release the closed intake, so id like to know how that comes out. The AFE does throught a CEL but the DD will get rid of it.

They both flow about the same, Spartan was supposed to be doing dynos to see which was better, buy they got swamped in work.

Does a cold air kit improve performance? If it does, how much colder air does a kit provide? If the ambient air is say 90 degrees is the air to the turbo much less? Or if the air is 25 degrees is the air to the turbo much less?
