accelerator stuck....

I left my truck running this morning while I was in the office for about 15 min and it went into regen while idling there. I hopped in it to leave and put it in reverse, when I gave it gas it went WOT and stuck thus scaring the **** outta me  I hammered on the brake and it popped up and acted normal. Since it is 22* outside and slick I have opted not to drive it and sport my shop truck today. The dealer said they could look at it in a couple days but they are backed up as usual.
anyone heard of this?

the 6.0 idles up in cold weather to as much as 1100 or 1200 rpm based on the
outside air temp, deactivation of this "cold" idle up is thru the brake pedal switch.

did the rpms go to the limit or just jumped up a bit ?

this might sound silly so don't get mad bad but were you pressing both pedals?

This as happend to me with my Baffins (big winter work boots) on, I was a little tired and went to stop and not realizing I hit both pedals at a intersection so I pressed harder (that was scary) then I realized what I was doing and managed to stop about a 3rd of the way into the intersection.. Once the embarrasment went away I started to laugh cause it must of looked funny, smoke and rocks flying with small cars swervin ha ha and then I was awake!!

I really hate how they are so close together, I will one day have modify that... or buy smaller boots lol
