Check tire pressure warning

I have aftermarket tires and wheels on my truck. Ever since having them put on my tire pressure warning comes on every time I start my truck and I have been resetting it for almost a year now. I took my truck in to a dealer to have the 3 recalls done on it and I asked them to please disable the warning. I was told that it would be against the law to do away with that. Am I stuck having to reset my info bar from now on, or can something be changed?

Has anyone tired putting them in a PVC tube and filling it up to a pressure of say 75 PSI? Shouldn't be too hard to roate a PVC tube 15 MPH to wake them up. This this could work? Could always just put it in the back seat and wake it up every now and again.

Tried it and it worked great for about eight hours. The caps on the tubes keep pushing off. I built four tubes and had one sensor on each at every corner of the truck. This plastic was never designed for 75psi+ as it was the plastic tearing not the glue failing. The spare tire method works reasonably well, but if a Ford dealer could lower them, that would be the way to go. Dealers in my area are extremely anal sometimes.

I wonder why any dealers in my area are not able to adjust the sensor setting? I will wait until my Toyos are burnt off, which should be a few more months, and then will try again. I really do not want the dealer messing with my truck any more.

My dealer told me its a $10k fine for even messing with it with out proper cause, sounds like to me they just dont want to do it. So I ripped my cluster apart and pulled the light out.

Could you break down your spare tire and install all the factory sensors
on the spare tire rim?????

I know that the spare tire has a sensor in it, and does not need to be on the road "rolling" to set.

That's what Mr. Tourettes did. All sensors in the spare, inflated the spare to high pressure. Not perfect, but better than the alternative.

I have this problem too with my 37's on aftermarket rims, but I already took the spare out. I'm waiting for Spartan to cough up the tire pressure crap delete tune and I'll upgrade my 250 to 275 at the same time.
