I use it, and can't tell any difference. I beleive that Ford actually states that Stanadyne is acceptable to prevent gelling etc. My mileage has not changed at all using it.

I use the Amsoil brand of treatments. On the preferred customer program they are pretty cheap.

I tried stanadyne performance formula notice little to none improvement went through 3 three cases and then switched to optilube XPD and notice about .5mpg difference and the truck is more responsive I've use over 16 gallon so far. Do I think fuel additives work maybe I'd rather run 25% - 50% bio if I had the choice!

I agree with onebadf150. I tried the Stanadyne for awhile, then the Optilube XDP in a 3200 mile vacation trip pulling a 9600lb 5ver. I could not tell any difference from just plan #2. I did notice a slight difference with the Ford Centane Booster, maybe .5 MPG

I am researching putting 2 cycle oil in these trucks with the DPF DELETES... Seems that most people who have done this in the 6.0l and in the 5.9l notice increased mpg, better cold starting, and a little responsiveness...

But who knows???
