Unhappy Compression/"vent noise" in engine

Occassionally I notice a kind of compression loss or "vent closing" type sound coming from the engine. I can feel it through my feet and it seems like it is low and towards the firewall area of the truck. Anyone know anything about this or heard it? I have about 30,000 miles on the truck and have noticed over the last 10K or so.:
