Had the flash?

I saw my service dept on Friday to let them know they could stop bugging me about my old 6.0L. The service manager and shop foreman checked out my new truck and made a list of things that should/ could be replaced before the 3/3k is up.Thelist covers things that are cosmetic and mechanical recalls as well, like front grill, front bumper(rust), radiator, coolant 't',etc.
The shop foreman informed me that if I brought the truck in for these warranty items, the shop is LEGALY BOUND TO INSTALL THE FLASH UPDATE.
It is the one that addresses customer concerns about knowing when the truck is in regen mode.
I also think it is the one with the pull over now warning.
Has anyone had this installed?
if so what has it done to the performance of the truck?

Mines supposed to go in Monday also.
I am not sure what to do since my nightmare with my 6.0started with a reflash, then 2 buy backs, a 3rd truck that had the updates before they handed it over to me, head gasgets at 40K and in the shop a total of 33 times in under 90K miles.
I can't seem to find much info about it here or other websites.

I talked with the service rep and he said the flash concerns the regeneration mode. He's claiming on short distances if you shut off the truck before it's complete, the next time you start and drive it will not regen until so many miles are driven. Make any sense? Guess people were complaining about this which intern affects the gas mileage.

I just finished reading a post about the new 'flah' on another site called
f series &super duty.
Almost all who said they had the update done noticed no decrease in performance, and most 'thought' there was/ would be an improvement.
I also found a post on here as to what exactly the update is supposed to address.
Mostly it deals with unatentive peoples concerns about when the truck is in regen mode and how to tell.

I have had the flash no noticable difference in performance or mileage. I have not made a highway run so cannot disscus if that has improved. The reflash does allow you to know when the truck is in regen. My only complaint and it is minor is that my truck starts to regen about the time I am ready to stop so I usually need to drive another ten minutes so it will complete or stop and do it on the other end of my run.

Big C, got my truck back on Monday and already had a regen. Lasted about 10 min. I do have to say i haven't noticed any difference other than the message. It's not a daily driver so might take a few trips. Seemed to run good though.

I forgot to mention that the truck did a regen also. I drove it while it was regenerating and it lasted about 15 minutes. The message center came on telling me so for the duration and I could not change it to check other info. I guess thats the way it is.
I'm happy with it and this weekend I'm gonna load my old POS 93 doge/ cummins on the trailer and go for a tow, assuming it doesn't snow.
