Intellistick

http://www.intellistick.com/ Anyone ever use one? sounds like it would be a good unit for us guys that do alot of idling around to see when we actually have to change oil. And when the fuel is doing harm. Any thoughts?

it does seem like a pretty interesting technology. if it actually works it could save a lot of money on oil changes/repairs, all depends on product cost though.

I bet its fairly expensive, even at $500 it could help guys who run their own trucks and want them to last! so I will be curious on this technology

I seen it in a few magazines, JP gave the most discription about it, But from what i understand is it mesures the additives depleting and for fuel and water, Then once the additives are used up it will go flat like just as base oil then its ur choice on how u drive if you want to change it. but once its there it will monitor for the oil to increase in viscosity and then you have to change it. But at $500 if it extends ur oil changes by even 10% it wont take long to pay for it. When im paying $100 for oil alone. and peace of mind of being able to monitor for fuel at all times.

I agree...It's a joke. Just change your oil in the recommended intervals. Some people are so paranoid about their oil.
