Sounds as tho that you are not having too much fun. I got an air chuck that has a handle with a gauge on it. Look like the one in this link. Hope this helps.

Oh, hi Mick. How are you??

Well, it's not that i'm not having fun, I'm suppose to travel 7 hrs in the am to trailer home a 5th wheel RV and went to check the tires tonight and "surprise"...! :

I've read the owner's manual and there is a caution about having people stand away while putting in air...are they kidding...how the heck am I suppose to put air in it without injuring myself if the tire lets go?

ps. thanks for the link

Doing fine! Yes sir, I know how it goes. Using a regular air chuck for getting them aired up is a pain in the butt. It can be done, but not an easy task. Good luck, and hope you have a safe trip.

I use one very similar to the air chuck he pointed out in the picture. Fina one that has a gauge on it an it will make life much easier. I fill up my F-350 and my M35A2 Deuce and a half with it, 16 tires!!! No way I could pull it off with a regular short chuck.

You have got to watch when you get new tires. They can put the wheels on so the outside wheel blocks the inside wheel valve stem completely.

Take it to a place that works on trk tires and ask if you can use their air hose. Don't worry about blowing up a tire unless you damaged the sidewall or really over inflate it. Check for bulges in the sidewalls or tread area to make sure that you are not getting seperation.

Thanks, guys. You won't believe it, but I went to the dealer cause I really needed to get the right pressure (was going to haul a 14,500 lbs toy hauler) on the tires and even they were having a hard time getting it right! I don't feel bad now. Going to buy one of those fancy chucks.
