Water in fuel

Whats up, since Friday I have been getting the water in fuel message at least once a day and I'm looking for some input on this situation.

Basically what I think is going on is that on Friday morning I fueled up at a station I don't usually go to (Mobil) and then around 10pm my "water in fuel" message showed up, so once I stopped the truck I drained the separator. Then on Saturday morning I got the message saying "Drain separator", did that and drove around all day and night without incident. Then this afternoon (Sunday) I got the same message and drained the separator.

So is it possible that I just got a bad tank of fuel or could something else be going on? Also what can I do about this, just run through the tank draining the separator when needed?

This is my first diesel so I've never had to deal with any of this before.

When you drained the water separator, did it appear as
though there was water in the drained fuel? If there is
water in the fuel, I believe there is an additive you can
add to the tank to help disperse the water.
