Messed up my Ford Today.
Well, here is for a stupid moment that is going to be costly. Today I decided to go to the local pnc bank to hit the mac machine. Due to the truck being so tall and the mac machine being so low I could not reach it from the truck. With that i pulled my truck along side the building adjacent to the parking lot. After using the mac I hopped in my truck cut the wheel and began to accelerate. At that time my truck hopped up in the air and I was like holy **** what am I on. Thinking it was a curb I tried to accelerate further and found the truck was up off of the ground and high sided. I jumped out to see what had happened and found that I was now on top of what used to be a light pole in the parking lot. Apparently an f*ing plow truck took out the light pole in a recent snow storm and pnc. just capped the top of the concrete post, did not put anything on it to let anyone know it was there. Due to my truck being tall and my looking straight ahead when I cut the wheel, I never even saw the thing. Well luckily a local police officer showed up, and was kind enough to help me out. He called his friend who came over with a floor jack. We were able to jack the truck up and walk it off of the concrete post. The damage was not as bad as I had anticipated, a small crinkle in my driver side fender, right front tire blew out, lower valance broke "taking the truck off the post" and a skid plate was waffled! I am going to pnc tomorrow morning with the police report in hopes of them paying for the damage due to their lack of making such a post visible. There was nothing on it marking it and no way to see it when I turned the wheel and accelerated and even the police officer agreed with me. Wish me luck. I have a picture on my cell phone and I will try to post it if I can so you guys can Laugh!!! I will say truck drives like nothing ever happened Built Ford Tough.
