Just ordered my Spartan Tunes.

Just got off the phone with Matt and my order should ship by the beginning of next week. My question is what tunes are you all running? I will be towing a 10,000 lb boat occasionally and looking to improve MPGs on the 6.4l. I will be doing the DPF delete. Thanks for your input.

Towing 10,000 should be no problems even if you decide to use one of the high hp tunes. Shifting will be hard, and of course you don't want to run the crap out of it. If you use some common sense you should be able to tow your load with no problems. I've towed 21,000 with the old 210 tune. Egt's were a little high, 1000-1100 on flat ground and 1200 climbing some small hills. Boost at same speed was 34-36, but and as high 45 while I was trying to get up to speed. Highest I saw EOT was 221, and ECT was 212. It's going to be like driving a totally different truck!!!!! Have fun..

You'll love the power and MPG gains. I have the 75, 150, and 210 tunes. I alway run the 210 tune. It shifts firm every time, runs amazing, and gets pretty good mileage. As for towing, it will darn near pull a house right off its foundation. Towing is fun when your tuned. If your looking to get good mileage then go for the 275, but for towing i would go with the 210 tune. You can use the 275 for towing as long as you watch the EGT's.

As long as the truck is locked up in overdrive, the EGT's will not get out of hand even with the 275 tune. It will take a very steep grade or heavy load to even get it to downshift.

The 210 tune is great. As mick said its the tune you can run to do every day for everything and still improve your mileage greatly. It also keeps you under the radar on the smoke unless your on it

Enjoy your new truck

I agree with everyone. The 210 tunes seems to be the best all around tune. It will feel like a different truck. Just be sure when you are towing, don't try to race with it, and watch your gauges. Have fun
