Regen question

Ok so I had a recall and took the truck in and had it done. Recall # 08B07 had to do with "drivability concerns" and DPF regens...they reprogramed the PCM (Powertrain Control Module Module), TCM (Transmition Control Module), IC (instrument cluster). So on to the question now, I seems that the truck will go into regen every tank of fuel. I do not think it went into regen that often before this recall. Should I have this checked or is this somthing that has most likly been going on and i did not know it. The truck has about 13,000 miles it if that also helps. Also had 08B06 recall done the Venturi installed on the cooling system. Thanks guys

After I had the recall done I started resetting my second tripmeter whenever the truck went into regen. So far it's been pretty consistent, averaging about 275 miles between regen. You're probably just noticing the regens more since you get the message now. A lot of times if you're traveling the interstates you might not even notice the truck's in regen unless you're watching the turbo boost or get the regen message.

The primary reason for the recall was to eliminate the regan at idle. It also added to the job 1 and the job 2 the ability to have the information center to tell you when it went into regen.

The recall also was to make it go into more regens for a shorter period of time. It keeps the dpf cleaner and eliminates to high temperatures for long regens. Sometimes you will notice it regens then a half hour later or next time you drive it it will go into another short regen. That is how the tech explained it to me and that is how my truck has been doing it.

Mines been going into regen every tank ever since I bought it, so I don't think its a problem.
