Intercooler leaking

for the last few days my boost never exceed 25 psi , before it was 38-40. i went to the dealer this moorning and they found out that my intercooler is leaking on the driver side of it about in the middle of the height. so they order a new one and they should have it by the end of the week(warranty). I talk to the service manager witch i know him well and told me i'm the first that he knows with this problem. he never talk about my spartan tuner +DPF delete witch was installed to be the reason for the leak . i think my max boost was 42-44 psi is it too high??? Next time it leak and it 's not warranty should i put a sub-zero? from ATS??? Thank M.B.

I would check for a stone hit before I would question the boost being too high. Intercoolers are very strong on there own. IC boots are the weak link in the system. They will start to weaken at about 25% over stock. There are some that have seen 52psi and their IC are holding together.

Lets just say not quite stock.
Slower than some. Faster than most.
