Oil Pressure ?

Just picked up my new 6.4. Great truck. I got a dash daq and was fooling with it this past weekend. Anyone know what I need to get an oil pressure reading. Everything else is there already. Thanks, Ken

no oil pressure sensor, only a pressure switch that will detect low oil pressure

Thats for sure. Idiot lights with a needle. I had Isspro guages in my 6.0 and had to run all the wiring and tubes. Its nice to have this stuff already installed and read the the OBD II. I think I will have to add an aftermarket oil pressure sensor but don't know about hooking it to the dash daq. Thanks, Ken

Holy Cow,
That cap looks just like the one that comes with the FS-2500. I wonder if I could just tap into the line right there to put in a sensor

Mike - I have that cap from my old setup on the 6.0. I put an elbow then a short hose then a tee with an oil pressure and temp. sensors there. This allowed the room needed to remove the filter cap by diconnecting the hose only. If the sensor is attached directly I think it would be more work to diconnect stuff to get the cap off. Worked great. Does anyone know if I use the expansion cable from dash daq. Is that how the unit reads the info? Thanks, Ken
