In Front of DPF filter

I was just wondering what was infront of the dpf filter where the flange with the bolt up. Is it just where the pipe tapers out to the big filter or is that where a cat is ?

cool thats what i thought. so to get a true straight pipe i need to get a whole exhaust from the down pipe back than ok. so is there any way to keep the stock down pipe and bolt something up to the 2 bolt flange on the bottom of the down pipe

all dpf delete kits you can buy right now will bolt up to the 2-bolt flange, you cant replace the stock downpipe unless you remove the cab

also, if you want to get the straight pipe, you must get tunes to delete the regen process from the computer

yes all sensors must be plugged in. in every delete pipe i have seen there will be bungs to screw the sensors back in the pipe. i dont think they have to be mounted back on the pipe, but im not sure

look into spartan or sct for tunes to do the dpf delete

Get a DPF and a DOC delete. You cant just take off the DOC either cause it has sensors on it too. As for the muffler, you can chop it if you want but it wont really sound any different.

so the dpf and doc delete will go from the 2 bolt flange off the down pipe back to the muffler then after that i can chop or keep what i want
