nitrous

I have the 275 spartan and planning to order a nitrous kit ) do i need a special tune to run with nitrous. Righ now with 275 + CAI i'm doing 8.61 1/8 miles, i should have my flo-pro 4'' straight installed this coming week. with nitrous do you think i'll do les that 8.4 1/8 miles. What is pros and cons of nitrous for drag racing?? i was looking at nitrous express or Zex or any other you recommend?? is it better with a switch manualy control or a full trottle switch that automaticaly turn on when full trottle. any help would be appreciate. Thank.

1) You dont need a special tune to run nitrous.
2)our 60' times will improve. How much? Depends on the jet size and your abilities.
3)Pros of N2O. Increase in power(obvious), cools the intake charge for more air, lowers EGT's, Supplies oxygen for a cleaner burn, Doesnt increase cylinder pressure as much as water meth or propane. Con's 1) Too much N2O is baaaaad, The bottle is always empty, depending on where you live. Getting refills might be a PITA.
4)I would have a throttle control switch. The bottle should last longer unless you are beating on it all the time. Vary rarely am I WOT driving normally. The "Go Baby Go" button is cute. But I would feel stupid if I forgot to press it during a race. Throttle switch is just simpler once you arm the system.

Hope this helps.

Nothing imo is a con to drag racing with nitrous. Either of those kits are the best way to go I think. I've got the zex kit with a .88 jet controlled on the throttle position sensor. Works great. No different tuning is required.

I would go with the throttle possition sensor only. You'll be burning up your bottle on the highway when merging/passing. I can get 45-47psi rolling on to get up to speed.

are you using nitrous for daily driving??? must cost you a lot$$$$ in my case i just want it for drag race against gm and Dodge .(i'm already faster but would like a little bit more) ) If i use only TPS, that mean that when i'm doing a boost launch, as soon as i floor it ,nitrous will start boosting power??? is it ok ?? Thank again
