troubles keep comming..

well after all my radiator trouble and cracked DPF (that they havent fixed yet) it all stemmed to a bigger issue today.

i was on my way to pick up some 4 wheelers for a race in PA this comming weekend towing my 8.5x24 enclosed. i get to a stop light and go to take off and it starts sputtering and smoking like you wouldnt believe. i get pulled over and rev it out and it clears up but still has no power. i head back home and the check engine light comes on. i drop the trailer and take off to see if it drives better without the trailer, well it acts normal and i pull into an advance and have them check the codes. it came up with a P1335 and a P0404 which they told me was a engine misfire and a egr low flow.

i think this has stemmed from the cracked dpf they keep messing around with.

it goes back tomorrow and hopefully they can have it fixed before thursday.

Your EGR valve has given up the ghost. Why didnt they fix the egr coolers? Never seases to amaze me that they will spend $3000 in the long run to save $1500 now.

Might as well tell them to check everything when there under the hood incase it's not the egr coolers. Next time it'll be a bigger bill for warranty to cover.

Lets just say not quite stock.

well dropped it off today, i really dont think they have a clue as to how to work on these trucks.
talked to the same guy i always talk to and told him it bout left me walking yesterday and told him it threw some codes, then he got short with me and said we prolly cant get to it this week, i told him you gonna have to get this thing where it wont leave me stranded this week. he said the dpf isnt here yet, i said so i want the other stuff fixed, i'm sure it's comming from the dpf being messed up but i still need it fixed. i'll be talking to the service manager next.

Maybe it's time to starting thinking about a dpf delete/with tune. Nothing huge. Just to make the truck run better. The difference from to before and after delete is night and day even with a stock file. Better mpg too. I saw a 2mpg increase just from getting rid of the dpf.

I think you need a new dealer, this one is not treating you very well. Find a large one, they will likely have the egr in stock.
