Tail lights keep burning out

Anybody have a problem with the tail lights burning out on there Jetta/Gulf? Last night I was following my wife home and I noticed both tail lights where burnt out. I figured I would fix them today. Well a few miles down the road we passed a cop and she got stopped. She/I got a fix it ticket. What a coincidence since I just noticed it myself. I took care of it this morning but I had two other bulbs burn out at two other seperate times. The connections are clean. This time I put some dielectric grease in the sockets. Thanks.
