VW sales manager says NO 07 TDI's

I bought the g/f a 06 Jetta last night and the sales manager who also sold me my Passat said VW will not meet 07 emissions in time therefore will NOT have any 07 TDI's. He said by law/regs VW can and will extend the 06's by 3 months to skirt the law.

While this will make many unhappy it just makes my Passat worth more money so I think it's great. He said he regrets selling me my car at $100 over invoice and will buy it back for cash anytime. Seeing how there were only 50 TDI Passat's for sale nationwide on autotrader.com a few weeks ago I'm sure he will.

This guy has 11 TDI Jetta's on the ground and 20 inbound (20 is all he is allowed by VW to order for the next few months). Nobody is buying them now but we all know when fuel hits $3 and $4 per gallon this summer they will sell for $1000 over sticker.

The new Jetta is sweet though....

I thought I did to until I looked at one and drove it. If they didn't have the 115 PD I believe I would own one after I leave my TDI Passat mark on the world.

Plus, it's her car not mine. I really do like it though. VW finally got a clue on what the US buyer wants and it's almost as big as my Passat

Dodge has 0% up to 60 months right now but they'll still have that when fuel goes up.

Luckily my neighbor has a 04 6 liter and my brother has an Exploder that I can pull my trailers with or we would be SOL.

If your wanting the diesel i dont belive they sell them on the US market anymore (the only reason i would want one) because they didnt meet emissions.

Correct.

I *think* only 500 made it in before an emissions hold-up was found.

Those things make something like 900 ft/tq modded! I still wouldn't have spent that kind of money on one.

We need to coax them into a new Passat TDI that we can get here. Wife was hoping that would happen so she could get in one.

Now it looks like the Jeep is gonna get swapped for a Lexus IS 350. Oh well, maybe the Passats will be available w/ PD sometime in the future???

No we don't because it keeps my resale through the roof.

A few weeks ago there was only 45 TDI 04-05 Passat's listed on autotrader.com and 1/2 had an unlisted price!
