TDI added to the driveway

I just traded in two gassers for a 2006 Jetta TDI. My wife and I had been talking about it for a while and noticed they had 1 at the local dealer fresh off the truck. According to the salesman we were lucky to find one. We tried to locate one with a few different options, but supposedly all 12 on the east coast were spoken for. Are they really in that high of demand right now? I know I had to pay sticker which I hate to do.

Now I just need to make a list of mods it needs.

I'm working on it. We spent over 4 hours at the dealership with our 2 year old son so I couldn't take any pics when I finally got home at 8pm. I can say that the New Beetle door hinges work very well. My son opened and closed the doors on one in the showroom probably 1000 times.

My dad just got his TDI Jetta Tuesday of last week. They are still bringing them in. He had his choice of exterior and interior colors. They sold him the unit for 200 over invoice. About 1500 off sticker, and threw in the floor mats and mud flaps.

There are 4 or five on the lot there, and they are advertising them hard here, with fuel prices going up. They get new ones in each week.

I should have came to Michigan to get one then. They are tough to find around here. I checked carmax and they had one available and it was in Atlanta.

Here's some pics of the Jetta as well as a few others : http://community.webshots.com/user/your2slow

Nice looking car! My fathers is the Dark Grey package 2 with the grey leather. Looks like the same color, but VW has a few that look very close. I hope you enjoy it.

If anyone else is looking there are 2 white TDI's with tan leather (autos), and one grey package 1 (manual), along with a dark blue package 2 (auto) sitting up here.

It's actually North Sea Green, but like you say it looks like Dark Grey except in direct sunlight. We really like this car so far. I'm trying to talk the wife into different wheels, exhaust, and maybe a few goodies. Any suggestions on wheels?

Take the factory wheel off and see how light it is. When you look for your replacement rims, try to keep them as light. If not, your performance and fuel mileage will take a dump!
