Interesting, he ran them parallel instead if in series, and it looks like the turbo is aftercooled but not the blower.

Yeah, I've seen that. Pretty awesome. I want to do something like that to the truck but a big blower is big bucks. Plus I'd have to find a huge turbo to feed it all. It would be like 6-7K to do it right...

The Super is there to help for the low end boost. Supposedly, once the turbo is spooled up it kicks a valve that shuts the boost from the super off and diverts out. Not sure where the supercharger boost is diverted to.

Yep, pretty much a 5 cylinder version of a P-pump.

Some of the busses I work on have turbo and blowers. They are run in series though. Makes sense to use one to compensate where the other lacks. And have neither of these fighting the other. I would love to see this thing run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard somewhere that one of the Euro companies were dropping the 1.9L turbo diesel in favor of a turbo/blower 0.9L gas. The blower stays on until about 2500-3000 rpms then it is electromagnetically disconnected from the turbo when the rpms are above it. But the turbo kicks on about 1800 rpms. Hmmm, that would mean the sweet spot about 2500 rpms. They claim it might get 50 mpg. I can't remember where I read it though.
