The 12 point set is required to remove the rocker assembly and to remove bolt holding the injector holder in place.

As you can see the injectors are a true 90 degrees when correctly installed and they are already 'out' where you see I have them at angle for a better photo of how I removed them.

How big did you go Andy? And do you need to use the Vag com to balance the injectors? It was unclear if that was needed on the PD's...

Bigger than Bob's baby!

The injectors are being overnighted in the AM and it's yet to be determined what I'll get in return since this is the first set of over-sized Passat PD nozzles in NA. I have intentionally put myself into a beta situation but I have no fear because I'm in great hands.

Lead, follow or get the flip out of the way.

The removal really is a walk in the park but you must have the 12pt set (I didn't and had to go see my favorite Carquest manager) and you need something like those little pry bars that I didn't have either ( thank you Jeff Garmon) to pop the injectors out.

On the way back in the cam lobes need to be at their highest point in the pair that you are installing and you must follow a specific torquing procedure where the rocker arm touches the top of the injector. I'd tell you more but my cheat sheet isn't in front of me.

BTW- Preston was nice enough to offer me bay space for multiple days :thanks: while I waited on the injectors but I just chose to do it in my brother's extra garage where my free loaner was anyway.

Andy already has 30 HP on me from stock... And his tranny will take a boat load more than mine.... That is until I put in the GLI clutch... I think that should easily take me to his level...

The more you can tell us andy the better... I know Kerma is the place for nozzles.. and you are in good hands!

So keep the tools, I may need loaner ones.....

I insured those puppies for $3K and let the big brown handle it from there. They should be back in Friday.

Jeff Garmon has me a little concerned about my current lock-up because according to him it already locks up like a Suncoast with a triple disk in it now with only the stage 3 programming.

We'll see what happens with the injectors and go from there. Jeff at Rocketchip can easily adjust it if its an issue.

Maybe I can get Garmon to put one of his signature lock-up switches on my dash. :smoke:
