I think there sharp. I've yet to be in one, but the readings show that it has generous hp numbers and good mpgs for the v8. It would be cool to see some pics when she picks it up. Congrats to her!!!

As our kids continue to grow we'll be in the market for a x/suv. The X5 and Touareg are really the only plausible options out there right now. Weve been looking for the VW but there hard to comeby.

the bmw has the best performance of the diesel SUV's...I liked the Audi diesel too.

I'll get some pics up when she gets her. Turned out this one was a dealer car...(owner wrecked his wifes new X5 pulling out the parking lot...22 miles on it) so the owners wife put 6K on it. sticker 65K, we got it for 50K...with the full warrenty

I have driven it at the BMW performance center.... it was awesome... if you don't know its diesel you never will. I was impressed with the power too.

Oh and if you ever buy a new BMW... ask to take delivery at the BMW Performance Center in Greenville SC. It is free and you get a free nights stay, dinner and a professional to go over EVERY feature with you.

FYI all of the X series SUVs are built/are going to be built in Greenville SC. So its not as foreign as you think.

That used to be the case, but the new one only has a V6 in it.
