When I'm feeling down, I like to whistle... It makes the neighbor's dog run to the end of his chain and gag himself.

I really wish they were listening!!! I dearly love the 4 banger diesel in my '06 Jeep Liberty. Enough power to pull a 300 gallon fuel wagon thru the field without a hiccup, yet will hit 34 mpg on a road trip. And that is in a vehicle that is hardly aerodynamic, has been lifted, and is running on all terrain rubber. Bosch Common Rail injection into 2.8L of cast iron block, wet sleeved, dual overhead cam, with a Garret VG turbo. Has to have the 545 tranny from behind the bigger V-8's to handle the torque out of this engine. Chrysler / Jeep just didn't have a clue what they were putting together when they did this Jeep. And it only cost me $500 more than the V-6 gasser.

After experiencing this ride, there is nothing that the big three, or the Japs, are offering that even can get my interest. But I would take a closer look at Nissan if they put this into production.
