I'll use any high-quality competitively-priced lubricant on the market.

Unfortunately Amsoil doesn't meet both those criteria.

Can you guess which one?

I have been using it since the DPF/DOC delete. No more fuel/oil dilution so it's worth it now.

I use Amsoil in my Jeep Liberty Diesel. For that application it is cost effective, and the oil galleries are small so a group IV synthetic works well. But my Cummins ISX, and the factory remanned Detroit Series 60 in my new Freightliner glider truck use Mystik JT-8 15w40 synblend. Since they need so much oil in those engines, cannot justify Amsoil. I can get the Mystik at $58 for a 5 gallon pail. Have 874,000 on the Cummins now, and the oil samples are as good as when it had 300,000 on it.

Used Amsoil products for my motor oil for the past 4 years, but recently switched to DELO 400 LE 5w40 synthetic. Might switch back to amsoil DEO, as it is the only one that maintained its viscocity over the OCI.
