Glowshift guages TOO BRIGHT AT NIGHT!!!

So I went the cheap route and bought Glowshift Maxtow boost and pyrometer guages (ive heard negative things about them but i thought i'd take a chance, hoping i don't regret it) So anyways, i put them in and they're just way too bright at night. I have them hooked to the blue wire with a white stripe which is supposed to dim them but I see no difference. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these guages and knew how to dim them maybe??? or maybe if anybody has ever tinted guages? how did that turn out? any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Autometer offers a dimmer you jut wire it into your illumination wire and it has a dial to adjust.

I've got them hooked to the dimmer that dims the dash lights and when i turn it all the way down, the guages get brighter which makes me think you can't dim them. Maybe i'm wrong, i'm just not sure

Check your install directions again. I looked at their website and every time they talk dimmer circuit they talk about the orange wire. If its getting brighter ou have something wired wrong.

Not 100% since I don't know the exact model but at least 4 different versions list the orange wire as the dimmer circuit.
