their complaining that the tax money isnt coming in for road repairs...because
folks are driving LESS !

god forbid our elected officials SPEND less in a "down" economy...hell they
just keep spending or spend MORE...making the economy WORSE !

If folks are driving less wont the roads need LESS maintenance ?

I see now that SFO is considering a FEE if you want to drive into the CITY...
wtf....is there sufficient low cost or FREE public transportation for folks that
work in the city to use <or are they just plain SCREWED w/ higher taxi fairs etc> !?!

Diesel went up 10cents a gal everywhere around here yesterday. I have a feeling the prices will keep creeping back up until its 4+ for diesel. Nothing makes any rational sense anymore. The new administration will want us all to be driving cars like this,

You guys are on some serious drugs to think the price of Diesel could creep up to 4$/gal w/o any economic recovery.

The price of fuel reflects economic stability. People are losing their jobs/houses/retirement and it keeps getting worse. At the rate things are going you can bet the price of fuel will stay where it's at.

If I had money, I'd invest all of it in guns. Especially assault rifles, you'll see a huge return on that.

I agree! I did hear though that prices creeping up the last few days were because the refinery's have been slowing down production.

Why that matters, I do not know, as I thought supply and demand played the major role in the fuel market....but hey, anything goes these days...I could sneeze and fuel could go up to $5.

All I DO know is I hope fuel stays where it is, or lower...I got it for $2.06 in Lexington, KY yesterday, and $2.15 here in Indiana today.

Oh, and if some of you guys want to save a bit of $ to put toward your trucks, your house, or anything really, just dont pay your taxes anymore. Its ok, the heads of our treasury dept. dont pay taxes, so I dont think we should either. However, If you choose to not pay your taxes, you may find yourself in a new job....part of the new 'presidents' cabinet of advisers.

if what youre saying were true then the POLITICALS wouldnt be trying
to come up w/ NEW ways to TAX YOU...

the cost of FUEL might not be rising <for the moment> but theyre looking
for OTHER ways to screw your money outta you....cant blame the oil
companies for that !

Couldn't agree with you more Don. In fact to add to that, how do the nay sayers think they are going to pay for the stimulus package. You can bet it will be with higher taxation, especially on a so called luxury like fuel. Harry
