Looks like Virginia, are heading that way. Last night I fueled up for $3.849 / gallon. A week ago it was "only" $3.449 at the same Shell station in central Virginia. 40 cents in one week! I gave up smoking a while ago, but I'll be durned if I'll give up my diesel!

$4.05 here. Parked it for now.

Life changes, so roll with it, not against it.

Something is really screwed up somewhere. No way should diesel be over $4.

I'd hate to be a trucker right now.

Well after dumping in the $100 bucks to fill my truck its going to remain parked unless its really required. I will be riding my GoldWing a lot more from here on out. Even though the weather here is still cold at 45*F I've got no choice to ride it. At least I can fill my GoldWing for $12-$15 buck and travel 180-220 miles on 5 gallons of gasoline...

As for my business I've been charging $0.50 per mile to travel to job sites and do computer work I'm going to have to consider increasing my prices again just so I can make a profit...

This is quite sad to see this happening...

It is all speculators running this deal. It is a realistic expectation to see 30cents per gallon or 5 dollars per gallon. This market like the housing boom too will crash. It is all the expectation and the willingness of Americans to pay that drives it. Like my grandfather said to me time after time, " You guys are SUCKERS!!!". "You will pay for anything without question." He was right. People now a days will pay for anything at any price. The old timers would quit using and companies knew it. We have enabled their control over us.

Natty...

That why I can switch over to my GW and be less dependent on oil and fuel supplies. I wish I could just roll up and quit buying fuel... But it my pay check that I kill too. My computer business REQUIRES me to travel to job site(s). Very few computer jobs are capable of packing up and coming to me...

Now as for my Automotive repairs. It best for the customer to come to me. I've got all my tools and supplies in my shop.

But the problem is that I've got more computer jobs now than automotive jobs...

Here is my alternate cheap seat...

I'm north of Mopar1973Man in Spokane Wa. area, I usually go to the Flying-J truck stop in Post Falls North Idaho to fill up because usually the fuel prices are 25-50 cents a gallon cheaper on average than Washington, because WA. has some of the highest state fuel taxes in the nation. But yesterday I filled up at FredMeyers grocery store gas station in WA. It was 3.59 a gallon, cheaper than Idaho, which has much lower fuel taxes. To me it seems, some of the fuel stations across the country are taking advantage of the public, because they can. Why such fluctuations in price locally? Some of the stations around here have been at 4.00 gallon for over a week now. Major inflation/cost of living is coming it seems, its going to affect all of us.
