Anyone go to UTI or Wyo Tech?

I am interested in a diesel program, just not sure which one to go to.

We have several techs that started out in UTI and then went on to the Mercedes benz elite training program. We then have to do an additional yr or so of training after they graduate before they are ready to become a line technician. I personally have trained many technicians over the yrs. The ones from these programs definitely have a good head start in understanding the basics and information searching and laptop usage, which is very important these days. Most MBZ dealerships will not even hire new techs unless they come from these programs. The only drawback that I see from these technical programs is the amount of debt these young guys are in after they graduate, usually 35-40k or more. And the schools tend to tell you your going to make 80-100k your first yr out there. I'm not trying to talk negative about this, just give you the realistic truth. Most of these guy's turn out to be excellent successful technicians. I hope this perspective helps you, even though its dealing with Mercedes, for whom I work for. But we do diesels too. Harry
