Flames out of exhaust?

Anyone ever seen this happen?

That is insane, keep that in low RPM's when around a cop at night. Otherwise you might get a ticket for improper exhaust piping. BTW in most states it is illegal to use flex pipe to connect exhaust work on anything below a medium duty truck. So if you are flexed, check you states laws. Calling the State Police in your area will get you the fastest answer.

Just a little info for ya, but I bet that is awesome to see at night, I am impressed.

Had that happen on a cat 3412 the other day. Dropped a valve, the valve hit the hot side of turbo and the oil started pouring into the hot side of the turbo. Then started shooting flames out of the muffler.

it sometims happens when it is on recycle or what ever it is called. i saw abrand new 350 doing it at the lowes store the other day. the guy freeked out,,,it stoped in a minute or two. we all had fun watching it.

Last year at a truckpull a dodge 24valve with a short stack throught the hood was doing that. After the pull you could see the turbo/stack glowing bright red.

Back in the 60s the old Mack b61s used to flame out the stack when they were warmed up and pulling hard. Those days fuel was cheap and we would over fuel the pump settings and the unburned fuel would put a nice little flame out at night....
