Winter Fuel

I filled my Silverado up yesterday and again averaged 17.1mpg. Over the life of the truck my average has been 18.1mpg. In Massachusetts between October and April they run D1 Diesel fuel, which is 10-20% Kerosene (lower btu), and I have found through research does lower fuel economy. Has anyone else had similar experiences with there Diesels?

C'est à peu près le même tant pour Americian que pour le carburant européen fait la même chose tant renversera le carburant milage un peu que c'est typique pour le carburant d'hiver pour brûler un peu plus que le carburant d'été.

It is pretty much the same for both Americian and European fuel do the same thing both will knock down the fuel milage a bit and that is typical for winter fuel to burn little more than summer fuel do.

Yup, that's normal. Glad we don't have to worry about that down here.

Yes, up here defferent stations have there own winter blend. Which makes it kind of a pain. You never know what your actualy putting in your tank. This winter I averaged 15mpg, last summer I was hitting 17-18mpg.

Thats fairly normal, I wish the stations up here would mix the number one heavier, ill sacrifice milage so I dont get stranded with gelled fuel.

1996 Gmc k2500 4x4 6.5 turbo diesel, with mods Blew the head gasket, put all new heads, valves, injecotrs gaskets etc on the truck only to get it together and find out it had no oil pressure, and sounded horrible (pry a spun bearing). SOLD
