8.3 no power

hi i have 94 motor home with a 8.3 cummins was towing my rockcrawler up a hill for about 3 miles motor got up to 210 on the temp gage was fine then got off the freeway and then gave it gas but it hade no power any ideas my freind said it mite be the fuel filter

We had the same problem several years ago with our 8.3 pusher. It was towed to a big truck shop. The problem the mechanic told me was the air kit, whatever that is. Keith
