Turbo Guys: Need some input!

Guys that are really good with turbos can you tell me if this thing is of any value to me or worth selling. It came off a detroit series 60.

The numbers on the plate read:

Model: TMF 55
P/N: R23515635
Ser: H0172 B0608

A/R 60 M24

That'll move a LOT of air so it should have some value to a racer or something.

It's not a turbo you'd want on a street car or truck though.

I have that exact turbo. Pretty sure it specs for 2.8 class. I bought a smaller exhaust housing for it.

Let me see what I can dig up for you.

They worth between $1200 to $1600 new. Parts for them are a little pricey too.

Wait it is most likely GT4294. R means ball bearing and that turbo is not.

Where did you get the exhaust housing for it?? And do you think it would make a good turbo in compound with my holset pro 52?

I am a Garrett dealer. I can find a lot of different things. There is actually many options for that family of turbos.

I'd say that exhaust housing that is on there would be the best for a compound set up. You'd most likely need to waste gate the pro 52 though.

Do you think it would be street able? Or a race/pulling set up only. Also what kind of PSI do you think it would create? I get like 45-50 psi out of my 52
