well i am no pro but from what i see/experience it depends on the track and amount of hp, you want some slip, with out enough slip something else will slip or break. for the tracks i have pulled at i wouldn't want mt's unless i had over 700hp

Like Robert said, it all depends on the track. AT's seem to do well for an all around pulling tire. I have run MT"s for two years now without a single problem. My truck, however, does better on a soft track with them.

MT's are a must sometimes with the wet tracks.

A wide all terrain is great for all around....

Depending on the track an At will do just as well as a Mt tire. I was at a track with alot of bite Sat night and my MT's cleaned my front driveshaft. Needless to say I wish I would have run AT's. Maybe I had more power than I had ever had in the past thanks to DJ and his awesome tune.
