Dover ohio update

Rules

8000 open 4x4 trucks
rules are simple-- 8000# limit, must be a 4x4 truck
26 inch hitch
weights 60 inches from center of front axle
that is about it

TRUCKS CAN BE TRAILERED

TRUCKS COMPETING IN THIS CLASS MUST BE STOCK IN APPEARANCE.

ENGINE, AND DRIVETRAIN MUST COME FACTORY IN A 1 TON OR LESS PICKUP.

THIS CLASS IS LIMITED TO A SINGLE CHARGER. ANY SIZE OF CHARGER.

DIESEL FUEL AND BIO DIESEL ARE THE ONLY FUELS PERMITTED IN THIS CLASS.

IT IS RECOMENDED THAT SMOKE EXIT UP THROUGH STACKS OR A TURN UP ON YOUR TAIL PIPE.

SUSP. MUST HAVE 1" OF TRAVEL. TRACTION BARS ARE PERMITTED AS LONG AS THEY DON'T RESTRICT SUSP. TRAVEL.

ANY TYPE OR HITCH. HOOKING POINT MUST BE ATLEAST 48" FROM CENTER OF REAR AXLE AND A MAXIMUM OF 26" HIGH.

FRONT WEIGHTS AND BRACKETS CAN'T EXCEED 60" FROM CENTER OF FRONT AXLE.

ANY D.O.T. APPROVED TIRE IS PERMITTED. NO CUTTING OR SHARPENING OF TIRES PERMITTED.

NO NITROUS, PROPANE, OR ANY OTHER PRESSURIZED FUEL PERMITTED. ANY TANKS, LINES, OR ETC. MUST BE REMOVED FROM TRUCK BEFORE COMPETING.


6200 Open street

This is an open street legal 4X4 truck class available to owners of trucks that are legal for highway use in the state of registration. If your truck is street legal and is built to the rules set forth herein, you can enter this class. Your registration papers are required to prove that the truck is licensed for street use. A license plate with a current sticker tag is required to be affixed to the truck. Registration papers and license plate and sticker tag must match if the truck is registered in Pennsylvania, a current inspection sticker is required. If the truck is registered in another state, the current rules on state inspection for that state will be utilized. Trucks may be hauled to the pull.

No dual wheels, studded tires, tire chains or any tire not specifically intended for street use are permitted. All tires must carry a D.O.T. number on the sidewall, D.O.T. number must be easily read from the outside of the tire. No cut, altered or sharpened tires.

Weight class is 6200 pounds. Weight brackets or hanging weights ARE allowed on front of vehicles . Weights must not exceed 60" from the center of the front axle or weights must be in cargo area and securely fastened or contained safely therein. Weight class may be increased at the option of the director of competition, but may not be decreased.

ANY TYPE OR HITCH. HOOKING POINT MUST BE ATLEAST 48" FROM CENTER OF REAR AXLE AND A MAXIMUM OF 26" HIGH.

No aluminum engine blocks are permitted unless O.E.M. No open headers will be allowed. Gasoline is the only fuel permitted. Absolutely no alcohol, nitrous oxide or other oxygen extenders. Turbo-blue and CAM-2 are permitted. Headers are approved but all exhaust must run through a muffler system. No superchargers or turbochargers unless O.E.M. Engine swaps between manufacturers are not permitted.

No solid suspensions are permitted. Suspension must have a minimum of two inches of movement at all times. No blocks are allowed between axle housing and truck frame that would restrict the necessary tow inches of movement. Lift kits are OK.

Truck must be stock in appearance. Floor in bed must be solid. The wheelbase may not be changed from original manufacturer. Wooden flatbeds are permitted.

I live 15 minutes from dover, i havent missed this pull since i was 10, we usually pull in some pretty interesting stuff too!
