Question

I have noticed this in alot of videos on this website. When trucks are building boost, as the RPM's come up it seems to sputter up to redline, then the turbo spools up. What is this? What is the reason behind it? Input would be greatly appreciated.

Because they are Cummins :

I am not positive, but 99% sure it's because of so much fuel, and little boost. Once the boost comes on, the fuel comes in, all is good.

correct me if i'm wrong but i think it is turbo lag, mostly sled pullers with really big single turbos.

Really big fuel lines will cause this to happen.

I was off a little, but basicly alot of fuel going in the engine at once.

Actually it's lack of pressure at low RPM.

so its basically like putting too much wood on a fire, it can burn it until it has enough heat and air?
