pulling ideas?

Well this weekend i finally went and pulled my truck i went 173.4ft and took 6th outa 10 trucks (1 duramax 1 fordwith a 24v in it and the rest dodges) i was the only ford there that had a stroker in it and was the least modified truck in the class, anyway i was looking for any advise or ideas to do better at next months pulls. i had my edge evolution on tow setting and pulled in 4 low and drive in tow/haul. and i know i need gauges im working on that.

1999 dodge 2500 24v ext cab long bed 4x4, nv4500 w/a LUK clutch, 5" straight pipe to 6" stacks, Red Oak Diesel VP44, holley black lift pump and big line kit, edge juice w/ attitude, RV275's, Modified intake horn and plate, Lock-N-Stich'd 53 Block, BHAF, no silencer, 06' 17" rims w/ 295/70/17 nitto terra grapplers.

I would shift it into say 2nd gear, that way the truck doesnt shift gears when your goin down the track, block your rear suspension so there is little to no give, and get some gauges so you know whats going on

Gauges and then if you are a 6.0 get a custom tuned SCT or if you are a 7.3 get a custom burnt chip.
