wow you are lucky you didn't break. what kind of clutch are you using and how hard are you trying to launch it.

Using a south bend DD ceramic. Wqasnt trying to launch hard, but the track was tighter than anticipated so i had my 285's on. I had to launch hard to get it moving without stalling.

I would say to just run your RPM's up to the governor, and slowly let off the clutch until you get anywhere from 10 to 20lbs of boost and then drop it. That way I don't think you will bounce any, and probably will pull a little farther, because you are losing traction every time you bounce. Just my :2cents

maybe walk it out 5-10 ft. before flooring it. that way you get it moving a little and when you floor it you will spin the tires a bit and not bounce. the sooner you get it to hook the better off you will be.

Well the Semi is a 76 white-western star. Its got a 20K front, 54K rears double frame. Its actually a salt truck now, but thats coming off and its getting cut to 170"WB. As of right now its got a 3208/Allison. Im just going to juice the 3208 and run it till it blows for the heck of it, (1st season if im lucky ) Then go with a 3406B and an 8LL. 3406 wont be really hot right away, 0R6051 charger, upgraded plungers, and recurved timing first off. There is a small series up here, the Maritime Truck and tractor pull association. www.mttpa.ca
