If you go with a motor other than a motor that came in a pickup IE: powerjoke, cummins, duramax, you will most likely be running in an exibition class. most organizations run that way. Go with a cummins 12 valve motor 94-98, easiest to work on and make power. you can get 500-600 hp pretty easy and not that expensive. If you want to spend some money you can get over 1000 not that hard.Or use alot of nitrous. You can get a built dodge auto that will handle the power as well, around $5000-$7000,unfortunately that is a big expense, but it will still be street legal and be fast as hell and alot of fun to drive.

would a nv4500 hold up with a DD clutch? I was reading the united pullers rules and my pickup would not work it has a flat bed andit looked like the pick ups must have all their sheet metal. i might have mis read it though
