Broke the truck at Galax pull(pictures)

Well all was going well at the Galax pull, which turned out to be a great success. UNTIL, a few other guys and myself broke stuff, the right side of the track proved to be the "breaking" side. Guess which side I took I got the rear U-joint, actually one bolt on the strap failed and "threw" the shaft out, ended my night early. But, check out the smile on my face in the last photo, classic...... laugh

Gonna try and get some video and more pictures up soon. These pics are courtesy of a friend off of DTR, thanks.

Mikey

Looked like you launched pretty hard. I remember when you got out of your truck at smokin after you broke the output, and you were laughing then too.

Nice photo's enjoy them, looks like its time for an upgrade.

1996 Gmc k2500 4x4 6.5 turbo diesel, with mods Blew the head gasket, put all new heads, valves, injecotrs gaskets etc on the truck only to get it together and find out it had no oil pressure, and sounded horrible (pry a spun bearing). SOLD

I would upgrade but this one isnt pulling anymore, that was the last time. The 91 is getting the "treatment" and will be a sled-puller. I'll just drag race and tow with the 97 from here on out.

Aw come on Mikey, that is a little cheaper only drag racing than dragging and pulling. Fix it and try again! It did look like the frame was seeing some stretch in the middle. Nice run either way!

Yep it was "bowed" up a little, I probably will pull a "couple" more times this summer. Just not hard-core, and probably no hanging weights.
