Traction bars

Ok so I ordered the hiem jionts to make a set of traction bars. But my question is how long should they be for a x-cab long box? I plan on doing some sled pulling and drag racing this summer too. Thanks for any replys.

That is what I was thinking too. But I think that they are going to be little bit longer though to get to a easy spot on the frame to mount them to.

Ok so I got my hiem joints and got them all cut and welded into the tubes. They ended up being 7' 5" because of were my cab mounts are but they should work just fine. The tube size is 2''diameter and 1/4'' thick. The part that sucks is that my mom took the camera up north so you will have to what for some pics.
