Hitch Question

I see a lot of the pulling hitches strong and cool looking. I am wondering how many modify the way the hitch hooks to the truck? Does anyone? I don't see much about that on the Threads. Just wondering because i have seen more than one stock hitch craked and broken just from towing.

mine still just bolts to the frame using 8 large bolts, but I beefed up the weak points of the hitch itself with some 3x3 angle, and some 1" square tubing.

I would say, under the frame. Then if you get a roll pan, the hitch will be behind the liscence plate. Also, whats with the cowbell?
