Spartan is the best no doubt. Check out our site for packages or Rudy's Diesel Performance (www.dpfdeletekits.com). You will find great prices and great customer service either way you go!

I beleive im going to go with the 600HP kit from dpfdeletekits.com with the 4" downpipe back exhaust and 310HP tune
can i exspect better throttle response and tons of smoke?
and am i going to have to watch the EGT ad stuff to make sure i dont have a melt down?
and will this affect driveabilty and better MPG?
and tranny probs?
just a ton of questions before i spend $2000 lol
does it just plug in the truck and you tune it up?

You Asked the following questions:

can i expect better throttle response and tons of smoke?
You will have much quicker throttle response with a tuned truck. Some do not like the sensitivity of the 310 tune but it is a race tune it is designed to get you going fast.

and am i going to have to watch the EGT ad stuff to make sure i dont have a melt down?
If you run WOT all the time yes EGT and other issues will begin to show up. There are many on this site that have run the 310 for several thousand miles without issue. Drive responsibly and you will be fine.

and will this affect driveabilty and better MPG?
Some have seen increases in MPG but you are not going to get climate changing results expect 1 to 2 MPG better and if more good for you several factors influence this reading every truck is different. Again it must be stated these are race tunes not MPG tunes.

and tranny probs?
Several people have driven thousands of miles without issue, be aware that you are placing increased stress on your transmission and torque converter so over time you will have some problems to deal with but not for a long time if driven responsibly. Of you race your truck all week and weekend at the track might want to spend some more money and do more upgrades

does it just plug in the truck and you tune it up?
Yes you plug the DD into your OBDII port save your stock file and install a new tune retrain your tranny and off you go with big smiles and probably a few explextives from yourself and friends. Enjoy what everyone else is already enjoying.
