Alright Guys, I got some noobie questions that i need answered

first off, im getting the spartan tuner put on my truck with a AFE Stage II Intake and 4" Exhaust with 6" tip

I know that the first spartan upload takes a pretty good while, but then after that and you want to change your tuning how longs the wait?

What is EGR and Regeneration?
and i believe ill be able to turn them off with the spartan, what will that do for me?

When i put my tuner on do i have to do the Tranny Relearn on it?
and how to i go about doing that?
i red the process but is there a button of feature on the tuner for it?

will i expect less turbo lag and better throttle response with the 250,275, and 310 tunes?

and ive got one other question, theres a guy that wants to race me with a little single cab 4x4 F350 6.0 i beleive hes got a high performance oil pump, and a bigger turbo and intake and full exhaust with water/meth injection
said he ran 8.5 in the 1/8 mile
how would i hold up to that in my CC/SB 6.4 with 310 tune?

Also looking for alot of black smoke, will messing with the EGR affect that?

They typically take 15 mins to load

EGR= Exhaust Gas Recirculation, it basically cycle your exhaust back through your motor via the EGR system before dumping it out of the exhaust. It helps produce less emissions.

Regeneration is what your truck does with the DPF on. It basically burns up all the soot using diesel fuel and high heat.

Turning them off will make your truck run more efficient and get better fuel mileage.

You always need to do a transmission relearn with the higher tunes. Just go out and do 3 passes 0-60 at part throttle and 3 passes 0-60 at WOT.

No button, you do it with your right foot.

You will see much less turbo lag and a lot better throttle response

It's hard to say....you would need to launch really good with your big ole tires. It's possible though.

Lastly, you will get PLENTY of black smoke with the 250, 275, and 310 tunes.
