Need some questions awnsered, Help!

alright first off, got full exhaust on my truck and 2 of the sensors broke off and my machanic said he can just plug them and it should be fine
ive got the spartan tuner, so will that allow me to not run the senors?
and also, he said he cant get the truck started and that the starter sounded like it blew a fuse and that the starter isnt getting any power.
any ideas on this and what happened?
hes got the 250 tune loaded.

You have to have the sensors in with the spartan, and that's why its not starting more than likely.

You'll need to buy new sensors from ford and put them on.

Why does everyone say you need the sensors in? Is it just strongly recommended or what? I dont have any sensors in my exhaust, theyre tied up to the frame rail...didnt have any bungs to put in the exhaust when we did it, and I havent had any problems.

whoever broke them, tell them to buy new sensors and install them in the bungs.

then reload a lower tune like 210...... and re upload the 250. Should be good to go.

are you running H&S? That's the only tuner that you can leave the sensors unplugged.

Are you running a tuner and if so, which one?

Did you make your own straight pipe or just remove the sensors and plug the bungs?

How long have you been running the straight exhaust system and/or tuner?

Your truck will run for awhile without the sensors, then when it goes into a timed/mileage regeneration, your truck will go into "limp mode" and you'll only be able to go around 20 mph.

Do a search here on the forum for more information, get yourself a proper DPF delete pipe and install the sensors, before you run into trouble.

I've installed DPF delete exhaust on 4 of my trucks and have never broken a sensor. Hard to believe your mechanic broke several. Is this guy a mechanic or just a buddy with a set of wrenches? The sensors aren't cheap and I'd have him foot the bill!

He said there plugged in just zip tied to the frame, witch would work. Its just easier to get the right exsuast with the bungs and there safe there. zip tied to the frame they will be screwed and need new once if you go back to stock.
