Anyway to get around signing the waver?

I just bought an 08 6.4 and want to get rid of the whole filter setup and stop the regen but everyone wants up to sign the waver and I don't want the men in black knocking on my door because my truck is'nt really OFF ROAD. Anyway I want a tuner and it looks like Spartan is the way to go, so do I go straight to them or someone else and what ever I get I don't want it to leave finger prints that ford can find. Is the SCT livewire good? whatabout the touch screen version? Any info to point me in the right direction would be great.

As soon as you delete the DPF. ALL those offering the tunes for it will require you to sign a waiver. Its not so the boogie man can get you. Its so they dont get sued for supplying you with a not EPA compliant product.

Lets just say not quite stock.

Every company that sells you DPF delete products or any other emissions deleting products is typically going to require you to sign a waiver. It is for legal reasons on our end. Nothing is going to happen to you after signing the waiver.

yup, already been stated... bout the only way around it is to find somebody and buy it used... but its only covering the venders arses so you dont sue them saying they sold you a product that messed your truck up or the dealer or government....

but its not like you go on file saying you did it for the gov to see just gets filed in a cabinet pretty much im sure...

So what about a tuner? Should I go straight to Spartin or someone else? When I went to there site and saw that the price was around $800 plus I thought that was a lot of dough for a tuner. Is the SCT livewire any good or the touch screen version?

i lucked out and got a used livewire really cheap and sent to eric for custom tunes.. the canned tunes were nothing to brag much about but you could tell a power difference and able to take off the dpf as long as you got the "off road" version unlock on the livewire.. if your going to have to pay full price though i would really get the touch screen... only like $150 difference and the livewire is really big and bulky for the screen size and i have a lot of complaints using it for gauges but love the tuning... if i ever come across an edge or something to use for a monitor i probably will...

also i did see a spartan dashdaq when i sold some stuff to a member last weekend and i dont know how the tunes compare, but its almost worth it for the unit... its awesome!! just was a little out of my price range and i loved erics tunes on my 6.0 so i stuck with it..

Thanks for the help,it's just hard to part with $1000 plus for a tuner. So correct me if I'm wrong but if you want Spartin tunes you have to go straight to them right? This seems to be the way to go since I have only heard good things about Spartin.

We have around 100 dealers across the U.S. and abroad. You don't have to go through us directly to get the tuner.
