Help!!!

Got an 08 that will not start. Has viper alarm in it. Check wiring all seems fine. Problem is remote start was hit then shut off before started then turned back on. The truck never started. Now it acts like it's gonna. All lights every thing but has no crank. Any ideas would be great. Alarm will go in to valet and truck still won't start. Thinking the alarm is out.

I wish I could help you out bud, but I would have to guess that it is your alarm system causing it for sure. Hopefully someone on here will know something about these things.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer of the alarm system, or gotten on their website to see if they have a support forum?

Ok so this is what ive come up with if i jump the starter it starts up, checked all fuses and relays. The 85 port on the relay is siginal from the key. The 86 port is the ground. Now when I test the 86 port there is no ground there. Is the starter a negitive feed to start. If I jumper the 86 port to ground the truck starts from the key but the starter stays on and keeps running.. Anybody got any ideas???

Does your truck have PATS on it?

Yes it does. And it's fine. Cause I can bypass and it will start. So the pin 86 on the relay is the ground but that is provided by the PCM when you crank the motor. When the PCM gets the ignition turned it sends a ground signal to the relay so it can complete the circuit and turn on the relay. Once it starts the PCM removes the ground signal to turn off the relay. Damn ford and there complicated starting process. Goes to the dealer on Monday.

If you bypass it and it starts something tells me its broken in the pats. To me it sounds like your bypassing the pats. Let us know what they find
