Running 210 tune while towing 5er using Magnaflow exh.?

I finally finished my DPF back exhaust with a Magnaflow 4" exhaust and found a different result from stock.

With the exhaust in running the Magnaflow muffler, I noticed that my coolant and tranny would get hot quicker actually kicking the engine fan on 3 times on my trip. Before the exhaust I never got this hot and had the fan come on (same trip, cooler outside temps).

Here is the question:
Does anyone think that the muffler is that restrictive?

I have since put the muffler delete pipe on hoping this would cure the issue up.

Thanks!

I have never heard of anyone having issues like that because of a muffler....People tow with just DPF/DOC delete pipes with the stock tailpipe with ZERO issues all the time. The stock tailpipe is going to be much more restrictive than a 4" flow through muffler from Magnaflow. I can't imagine that being your issue.

I know how it sounds but I don't know what else think. When I was towing before with just the delete pipe and stock muffler it was better. One other thing was that the stock muffler was way louder than the Mag muffler, that's what got me thinking it was restrictive..?

There isnt a stock muffler, its jsut a flow through can. Not that I know what its for but its Probably jsut some sort of sound resonator???

I just don't see how a 4" flow through muffler is going to cause your coolant and especially your tranny temps to go up......

There's no way it could effect it unless the exhaust pipe is touching the tranny cooler line or something crazy. That may not even be possible. Probably just different weather conditions or some other variable causing your temp increase.
